I believe there’s hardly anyone who didn’t at least saw one episode of the cult serie “Sex and the City”.
Personally, I have to admit I was a huge fan of this show and of course also of Carrie Bradshaw’s character. I think I can say with a good conscience that she inspired all of us in one way or the other. Moreover, I believe that there’s a little bit of a Carrie in all of us, some acknowledge it and rock it out proud, and others still have to discover that side.
To be honest, I really miss the evenings when I used to just meet and hang out with my friends to watch Sex and the City together. It was always a blast and we always had a great time. So now there’s nothing left than to cherish these beautiful memories.
Today’s outfit is a one hundred percent Carrie look. During one of my photo shootin
;gs in Cologne, I discovered this light-yellow tulle skirt. We just happened to look for a Café for a coffee break (my espresso macchiato addiction got me again) when we walked passed Boutique Belgique and I saw that beautiful skirt in three different colors in the display.
I honestly liked all three colors, however I decided to pick the light-yellow one. Instantly, I had a picture in my inner eye how I wanted to wear this tulle skirt; so on the way back from the Café, I purchased it.
A few days later, when it was time for the next photo shooting, this lovely piece was of course with me.
I combined it with a white blouse by Acne and dusty pink velvet high heels by Simmi.
The belt that I am wearing is my own creation.
Sometimes I look for special accessories or pieces that I would really like to have, but then I can’t find what I’m looking for anywhere. If that’s the case I just go with the motto “do it yourself”, and this belt is the best example. For a long time, I was looking for a silk belt that you can just tie however you like. As I couldn’t find one anywhere, so I just bought some fabrics and tailored it myself. These types of accessories can always spice up your outfit and gives it a personal touch.
When I put this look together and looked into the mirror, I thought “something is missing”.
So, I reached for my beloved Isabel Marant hat, and that was it!
I’m sure I could’ve combined this look with plenty of other bags, however I thought the perfect one to go with this look was my “Karl” purse by Karl Lagerfeld.
What’s special about this bag is that the front has Lagerfeld’s original signature on it.
