“I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world….” Do you remember the song?!
Isn’t it insane how some brands truly manage, that we as consumers actually associate certain colors, or statements with one particular product?
Well in this case, I have to admit Matell did a great job, because when I think of the color pink a Barbie doll pops in my head.
Jokes aside, there was a time when I literally hated this color and you couldn’t dare me to even consider wearing it.
However, this was in the past and now I have to admit I enjoy this color so much that I cannot get enough of it. It is such a nice color to wear and reflects joy and happiness. Nonetheless, the best part about wearing pink in the sunny season is that it underlines nicely your tan 😉.
Some of you might recognize this sweet pink suit by Sandro Paris from one of my previous blog entries. However, I enjoy wearing this gorgeous suit so much that I wanted to style it a little differently than the last time and share it with you guys.
So, for today’s look I have added more pink elements to my look, and I guess you could say this is a total “pink power” look now.
I combined the two-piece suit with a lovely pink printed blouse in PJ style by Steffen Schraut. The feather pattern printed on the silk blouse in combination with the end-to-end button facing make this piece very elegant.
And in case my look includes too much pink for your personal taste, you can easily combine this stylish blouse with a nice pair of jeans and sneakers for instance and still create a striking look.
The highlight pieces of my look are the accessories, which I kept in pink as well.
My loyal companion for the day (no it was not the cute puppy, I only borrowed him for a few minutes to take a couple of pictures) is this stunning pink clutch made of stingray leather by a cuckoo moment. The “New York” clutch comes with a magnetic catch, a small side pocket and two eyelets for optional chain attachment. The inside is covered with beautiful pink calf leather.
In order to finalize my look I have added some beautiful “Grace” earrings with rose quartz, a pink gold pleated steel chronograph with pink stingray leather wristband and a pink stingray leather ring by a cuckoo moment.
The Düsseldorf based designer behind this brand is Lia Fallschessel. This lovely human being has a fable for stingray leather, which is why she designs all her pieces using this particular material.
Stingrays are fished as edible fish in many regions of Southeast Asia under no threat of extinction. Their leather is therefore a side product of a useful protein source.
Finally, I completed my look with some soft pink sunglasses by Chloé and some pretty suede pumps by Christian Louboutin.
Et voilà, that is my “think pink” look 2.0 😊
