Good morning lovelies!

Today’s blog post and outfit is dedicated to the so-called “Boho chic”.

Let’s be honest, how many of us do actually know where this term came from and what it actually means?

I mean, of course a fashionista usually knows what the style itself consists of or in what direction it goes. However, I decided to give you a little lesson or at least the minimal background info on it.

So here comes Boho chic 101:

This particular style of fashion derived from various bohemian as well as hippie influences and had its peak in late 2005. The term bohemian refers to the practice of an unconventional lifestyle. Usually it involves artistic, musical, spiritual or literary pursuits.

In 2005, boho chic was firstly associated with the actress Sienna Miller and model Kate Moss.

There you go, this was Boho chic 101 for today and now, let’s get to the dose of fashion inspo for today 😉.

The gorgeous dress in boho chic style with multiple printed patterns and colors is by Perseverance London. I came across this gorgeous dress at the Renate Abs Boutique in Essen.

This stunning dress with long, flared arms, crew neckline and a mid-length fit is just perfect for a warm summer day. The cute features, such as ruffle details to the arms as well as skirt, along with a tie bow to the waist make this dress a great addition to your wardrobe 😉.

I combined the lovely dress, which I got from the Renate Abs Boutique with a wrap-around scarf, from the BLONDWALK for a cuckoo moment collection. The turquoise harmonized nicely with the multi-colored dress. Furthermore, it is always a good idea to wear a scarf or a cardigan with a summer dress, as it can always cool down as soon as the sun sets.

The clue with our wrap-around scarfs however is that they actually have half-sleeves and can therefore not fall off or do not have to be readjusted (that was always what annoyed me when I put a scarf on my shoulders).

The sandals by Sophia Webster are unfortunately nowhere to be found anymore (they have been part of my shoe collection for a couple of years now). Nevertheless, I tried to find similar models for you ladies, which I have linked to this blog post. I hope one or the other pair will meet your satisfaction.

Another one of my highlight pieces of this look is certainly the oversize fringed bag by Amma Mode. This gorgeous cognac leather bag matches perfectly to the boho chic style and truly reflects the message of a free spirit. This bag offers so much space that you can literally get lost inside of it.

So, in if you want to add come boho style to your look, this bag is definitely a must have!

I hope I was able to inspire you with this cute summer look and that I could motivate you to take your summer dresses out of the closet. And if it did not look too good in there, I suggest you have an excuse to go shopping 😉.

Thank you for reading my blog and stay tuned for the next fashion inspo coming Tuesday on Blondwalk.com!
