Hello again!I had announced it a couple of days ago… so here it comes, a great velvet look!In case you have not noticed it yet, velvet is currently really trendy and I might have advised you to have at least a couple of velvet pieces in your wardrobe.Nevertheless, I have to admit that my passion for this amazing type of fabric hasn’t just come over night. I have been a big fan of velvet since I was a child and that was thanks to my mother. As she owned a boutique when I was a child, I got in touch with fashion very early. And when you have a fashionable mother you adopt certain characteristics, which is probably why I was up to date on fashion trends already then. I remember it was the late 80’s when leggings were super fashionable and my mother had velvet ones in her boutique. So, I was super excited when I saw the eggplant-colored velvet leggings she had there and I was able to twist her around my little finger to get them 😉. My velvet crush today is a beautiful dark-green velvet dress with V-neck by Plein Sud, which I have found in Düsseldorf at Jades (www.jades24.com). How convenient that my passion for velvet and for the color green are fulfilled in just one piece of fashion! And in order to be prepared for the usual pre-fall weather, I am wearing a black velvet kimono with lovely, colorful floral embroideries by Black Coral on top of the dress. If you ask me, this kimono is a real it-piece! The Red Valentino studded Puzzle Bag, is made of soft leather and nicely decorated with blossom-shaped patches, which cover the entire bag. In order to give this look a completing touch, I am wearing pink-colored, suede Pigalle pumps by Christian Louboutin. I hope I was able to inspire you again with this cute look and that I was maybe even able to “infect” you with my passion for velvet 😉.Thank you for reading my blog and stay tuned for what’s coming up next on Blondwalk.com!
