Hey lovelies!
As you might know by now, dresses and I are not the best buddies. So, if I wear one, it has to be a dress with ingenuity!
And this particular one by Self-Portrait certainly fulfils the criteria. I have found it at Jades in Düsseldorf. And I am going to be very honest here, it took some convincing by the staff for me to even try it on, because I was not too sure if it would suite me or not.
But hey, there is a reason why you always have to try new things, right??! You never know what the outcome might be and at least you can say you have tried it.
Personally, I feel like especially these days it is very important to be openminded about all sorts of things and just try them out without being biased.
Oh, and on that note, did you know that you are supposed to try foods that you dislike anew every 7 years? Apparently, that is how long it takes for the taste buds on your tongue to renew and you could end up liking a food that you disliked before 😉.
Alright, back to my outfit….
The lacy dress, dominated mainly by a nice frosted pink color with a few cute creamy-white and black details. The white collar and the black stripe around the waistline add a tiny bit of, let me call it “discipline” to the rest of this very playful lacy dress. Its length is just a little bit over knee which makes it just perfect for me.
In order to complete this chic as well as playful girlish look (I feel like it has a little Parisian touch), I have combined it with an anthracite colored hat and a black cute little bag, both by Isabel Marant.
The pink suede pumps by Christian Louboutin match nicely in terms of color with the entire look, however at the same time, they do also add a nice highlight to this look.
I hope you enjoyed reading my blog, and remember to be openminded to try out something new ;) !
