Good morning my dear ones! Today’s look is all about elegant casualness 😉.I wanted to show you how easy it can be to create a very casual, however still elegant look when a skirt is involved. Most of the time we associate skirts with rather chic and stiffy styles. And I have to admit I wasn’t a big fan of skirts myself. Nevertheless, luckily our tastes change over the years and if we are brave and open enough we try out new things every now and then. As I have mentioned a couple of weeks ago, it is important to stay openminded and try out colors, fabrics, or even cuts which you would have never touched before. For this reason, I would like to present to you this lovely, casual-chic and playful look today. This amazing pleated, knitted skirt in navy blue is by the talented German designer Steffen Schraut. I love how versatilely combinable it is, apart from the fact that it is very trendy currently. For instance, you could also combine it with a nice oversize turtleneck sweater and cute ankle boots, or simply with catchy pumps and a shirt or a blouse.Plus, as autumn season is knit season, you can never go wrong with stunning fashion pieces like this particular one. I have combined the navy blue pleated skirt with a long, light-blue blouse from Mango and on top of it I am wearing a dark blue sweater from Zara. Combining these pieces this way, allowed me to create a lovely layering look (as I am such a big fan of it).In order to add the previously mentioned casualness to my look, I decided to wear light-blue ankle boots with small heels from Zara, instead of pumps or high heels. This way, the entire style appears a little cooler, however still exceptional. The black Chanel Boy bag completed my look perfectly! I hope I was able to inspire you again with this casual-chic look and maybe even encourage you to say “yes to skirts” 😉.Thank you for reading my blog and stay tuned for what I have coming up next for you on Blondwalk.com!
